Happy New Year from all at Riding Lights!

Well here we are in a rather snowy 2010! And even just two weeks into the New Year it looks set to be a busy one. Arguably one of the best things about our home at Friargate is all the new and smiling faces that come through our doors throughout the year, and January is certainly a time when we welcome a lot of new people onboard. Sally and Kelvin's new Education Assistant Rosie seems right at home after just one week, and meeting the youth theatre last night as term started hasn't seemed to put her off just yet...

In five days we welcome our new Roughshod company, Dipo, Jon, Briony, Edith and Rachel (pictured). They will spend six weeks with us as they rehearse, devise, create workshops and generally prepare to embark on a six month tour of the UK. We're very excited about working with them, and having met them a few times already and had two of them act in On Christmas Night, we're sure this is set to be a great tour!

The Ten Commandments remake is finally here!

Paul, Kelvin, Ian, Desmond and Snowy undertake the challenge to remake the epic movie The Ten Commandments on top of England's highest peak. This is the result - a 220 minute movie condensed into just under 20.

Their adventure has so far raised over £2,700 in aid of The Sky's the Limit!

Origins and Lemons on the road.....

A week of good audiences and generous hosts. Illness has once again hit the camp with Rachel and Alan feeling a bit ropey!

THE SKY'S THE LIMIT - SCAFELL PIKE UPDATE!

Desmond the Camel, Snowy the Black Sheep, Paul, Kelvin, Ian and a couple of goats have all safely returned from their sponsored Lake District remake of the 1956 epic movie The Ten Commandments. Thanks to all who sponsored so generously in aid of The Sky's the Limit.

The final movie is still being edited, but early footage shows some rather diva-like behaviour and a few questionable budget cutting special effects. Here's a taster...

Another good week......

Rachel reports another good week. The Leatherhead Theatre was a great venue and had a great audience. In Southampton the team stayed in a guest house which made them appreciate the host families even more! Went to above bar church in Southampton which was ace! Had an amazing 3 course dinner before the show last night in Windsor so being looked after very well!
